OK I loved the Storm Hawks series to death, but I have some major issues with PIPER SUDDENLY GAINING SUPERPOWERS!??!!? WTF?? This was totally out of nowhere and was a completely undeveloped aspect of the story. I don't have a problem with the Aerrow/Piper pairing, which they really drummed up in the final episodes, but the whole "Could she be...the One" thing was really cliche and seemed like something they just threw in at the last minute.

Things that they probably wanted to show but didn't have time to squeeze into 52 episodes: Terra Merb and more merbs. Stork is my 2nd favorite character (after Finn) and I was really hoping they'd show more refugee merbs (and female merbs) because the official website describes Stork as a typical merb, which makes me REALLY curious about them as a race of people. And how the heck did they all get enslaved/terra taken over if all merbs are as cautious and paranoid as Stork. I'm really disappointed they didn't even show non-speaking background merbs joining in the final battle against Cyclonia. You'd think they'd be pissed about having their terra taken over. My only theory to explain the absence of merbs is that they were wiped out in a genocide while their terra was taken.

Despite the merbian disappointment, I was so happy about the female wallop!! She was so cute, but they made her voice really scary and much more "mannish" than most of the male wallops. Haha. "She looked like a dude from the back!"

I absolutely loved the way the series ended showing the glimpse of the Far Side. Doesn't look like there are Terras or wastelands and it would be interesting to see how the story plays out from there (from the mass of fan fiction I'm sure that it has spawned because I don't think this series is coming back). Speaking of fan fiction, if anyone has links to good Finn/Piper, I'd love to read because I heart crack pairings. It could possibly spawn more crack artwork.
